Firstly...
Your metabolism is the complex set of chemical reactions that convert food and drink into energy to sustain life, and fuel processes like breathing, growth, and cell repair.
Metabolic health is your body's ability to efficiently process energy from food. This is often marked by normal levels of blood sugar, blood fats (lipids), blood pressure, and waist circumference.
Good metabolic health reduces your risk of chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes and heart disease by preventing unhealthy spikes in blood sugar and inflammation, and promoting a stable, energetic feeling.
A metabolic reset is designed to improve overall metabolic health by balancing nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle factors to re-balance the body's systems and enhance its ability to regulate weight, energy, and other functions.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF
You're tired of feeling tired
Ache in places you never used to
Feel heavy, overweight or bloated most days
You're ready for a new approach
Our approach is one that's rooted in nourishment, not punishment. One that supports your body to do what it's naturally designed to do heal, reset and thrive
Trying to make significant, lasting changes alone
We get it... life gets in the way sometimes, and your focus is lost...willpower fades and you get derailed from your goal. Without a structured plan to follow, you're relying on random YouTube videos that suit your mood that day. Itβs easy to give up before real change happens.
Trying just to lose weight
You may have tried calorie counting to restrict the amount you eat, thinking that weight loss will fix everything. But meal replacements and calorie restriction often ignore the deeper issues, contribute to restricted nutrients, fibre and protein, and don't tackle blood sugar crashes/spikes or help with how hungry you feel.
You've tried all sorts of trendy diets
Diets that often include extreme restrictions, and a negative focus on what you have to cut out of your diet, you can sometimes find short-term wins, but these often backfire in the long run. You end up more depleted, worse mood and with a slower metabolism and even more cravings.
Information overload
We get it too... there are lots of bits of information everywhere when you start to look. There's contradicting viral videos on social media which say that fruit is bad for you, or to stop eating X,Y or Z because there's a word they can't pronounce on the label. These are often taken way out of context (for example, if you drank way too much water it can be dangerous...but we all know water is good for us - just not too much!).
Don't worry, we can help!
"It's amazing how much I learned... I've gone on to lose almost 5 stone"
HOW OUR PROGRAM WORKS
We have tried to make this as simple as possible - we focus on one simple thing each week. Identifying the key area of focus that we'd like you to implement over the following week.
Each week has two short lessons: focusing on "What to do" and "Why it works"
Yes absolutely. We are not providing you with a strict meal plan...far from it. We will make suggestions of what to have, but the decision is yours as to your preference and tolerances. We want you to come out the other side of these 12 week with a healthy relationship with food and lifestyle that will be the new normal for you. Giving you long lasting change that continues on.
Yes definitely. We introduce each weeks focal point in small chunks so as not to overwhelm or confuse you. We try to suggest simple quick meals throughout the program, and many of the exercises we suggest are simple, at home without equipment and under fifteen minutes.
There are no restrictions during this programme...however the more you can limit tho following the better results you will get. We recommend being mindful of these few consumables:
Sugar - excessive sugar intake is closely associated with the development of low-grade chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases.
Alcohol - alcohol is also inflammatory and can cause both immediate (acute) and long-term (chronic) inflammation throughout the body, particularly affecting the gut and liver.
Ultra-Processed Foods - while often convenient, ultra-processed foods are often high in salt, sugar, fat, additives/emulsifiers, colors, and flavor enhancers as well as being low in fiber and nutrients. This can lead to increased risks of obesity, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes to name a few.
However, if you do decide to consume any of these, we ask 2 things...
1. you are mindful that you definitely want it, and you don't just want it out of habit or boredom
2. you take note of how your body reacts / how you feel after having consumed it, to compare it to other days where you have not consumed it.
Processed foods involve minimal processing and often still contain the whole foods, such as canned vegetables, while ultra-processed foods go further, often being made from food ingredients extracted or synthesized in a lab and containing many additives like colouring, sweeteners, and emulsifiers.
These often harm gut health by reducing beneficial gut microbes, altering microbiome diversity, and impairing the intestinal barrier, leading to inflammation and increasing the risk of digestive disorders
